Stanford University: Maps and Records

Electronic Data Requests Maps and Records Home

Download Plot Request Form (Please use http://campus-map.stanford.edu to mark the area you are interested in and bring or fax your request to 3-7905).

The buildings, roads and infrastructure features that make up the Stanford University campus are represented electronically in a series of map layers. These layers reside in our Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and can be individually displayed and manipulated. These layers form the basis of the maps and drawings created by staff at Maps and Records.

A request can be made for any combination of layers. All data is maintained in 1:1 scale. In addition to infrastructure layers such as buildings and roads, clients may customize their requests by choosing to display individual features such as pathways and fences.

Custom Plot Request forms are available to guide our clients through the available options, and may be obtained from the Client and Office Service Representative at Maps and Records. . Individuals not employed by Facilities Operations should submit an online Service Request through the FacOps Customer Funded Work Request web page, indicating the University department that will sponsor the work to be done.

Some map products are provided at no charge to University departments. Please see: Overview of Fee/Non-Fee Services.
